Source says government ammo purchase story a disinformation campaign:
New information has been received indicating that the widely circulated story concerning a massive ammunition purchase
by various civilian agencies of the federal government is part of a
disinformation campaign designed to "smoke out" citizens who fear that
the government is gearing up for a confrontation with the public.
The source is a trusted, well-placed informant who has significant
contacts with government personnel and who has access to records which
cast doubt on the story that the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security bought over 1.2 billion rounds of deadly hollow point ammo.
For obvious reasons the source must maintain anonymity.
At least some of the purchase orders for the ammo, according to the source, are fake but are made to appear legitimate.
Further, the informant stated that had the government agencies made
such huge purchases of ammunition, then companies within the firearms
industry would have a record of such purchases. So far no company has
been able to provide records verifying that any such purchases were
made, according to the source.
Disinformation campaigns are common with governments all over the
world, including that of the United States. During World War II, for
example, a major disinformation campaign aimed at the Nazis enabled
Allied forces to strike areas of northern France where they were
unexpected.
But why would the U.S. government wish to create false purchase
orders for ammo and then roll out a news story indicating that it had
bought 1.2 billion rounds of hollow point bullets?
If the information provided by the source is correct, the answer
could be that the exercise was implemented to see how such a story would
play out among the general populace, particularly among those who are
considered "government watchdogs."
The Obama Administration is well aware that since 2008 Americans have been purchasing guns and ammunition at a record rate.
The administration is also aware that some groups that are convinced
that malevolent intent permeates the current administration have been
making covert preparation for defending themselves against government
incursions on their rights.
Thus, a story concerning massive purchases of ammunition by
government agencies would be sure to create a stir among such groups.
Perhaps the administration wished to monitor the extent and intensity of
the stir among patriot groups.
None of what the informant has reported can be independently
verified. However, information provided by the source in the past has
been generally reliable, suggesting that the assertions are credible
enough to merit attention.
HOWEVER, Kurt Nimmo at Infowars.com published this on September 5, 2012:
The establishment media is attempting to discredit what it characterizes
as “conspiracy theories” surrounding massive government ammunition
purchases.
The choreographed propaganda campaign follows an article by Paul Joseph Watson posted on August 15. Watson wrote his article after a solicitation was posted by the SSA on the FedBizOpps website asking contractors to supply 174,000 rounds of “.357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow point pistol ammunition.”
On Tuesday, the Associated Press, CNN
and other corporate media outlets simultaneously posted articles making
the argument that 174,000 hollow-point bullets purchased by the Social
Security Administration will be used primarily for target practice.
Social Security investigators “use this ammunition during their
mandatory quarterly firearms qualifications and other training sessions,
to ensure agent and public safety,” a statement issued by the agency
claims.
The target practice argument, however, is misleading. “Full house”
hollow point ammunition is not generally used for target practice, less
expensive “range quality” practice ammo is, although it is entirely
conceivable that an unchecked spendthrift government agency would use
expensive hollow-point ammunition for this purpose.
The AP and CNN assiduously avoided mention of far larger government
ammunition purchases totaling nearly 1.5 billion rounds. In reaction to
news stories about these massive purchases, a solicitation posted on the FedBizOpps website concerning ammunition purchases made by the DHS on behalf of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) now contains numerous redacted sections.
The AP article sarcastically insists the Social Security ammo
purchase “isn’t as tantalizing as an arms buildup to defend against
unruly senior citizens” and ignores urgent warnings of social chaos and
unrest issued by the IMF, the U.S. Army War College’s Strategic Institute, and other globalist and government institutions.
An internal memo at Citibank
revealed that the banksters lording over the economy also believe there
will be social chaos and unrest after an economic implosion. Massive
fiat money creation by the Federal Reserve, an analyst warned, will
result in “depression, civil disorder and possibly wars.”
The CIA and U.S. intelligence agencies are also monitoring economic
indicators and are anticipating civil unrest. According to the
Washington Post reports, the CIA has added an economic situation report to its threat assessment for the White House.
The Army document specifically warns about an “unforeseen economic
collapse” and a “loss of functioning political and legal order.” It
takes to task an “American government and defense establishment lulled
into complacency by a long-secure domestic order” and explicitly states
that during an economic collapse or other incident producing mass civil
unrest the government would use “military force against hostile groups
inside the United States.”
In 2008, the Pentagon deployed an Iraq battle-hardened combat team
inside the United States for “crowd control” patrols and other duties.
According to the Army Times,
the deployment “marks the first time an active unit has been given a
dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to
provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and
coordinate defense support of civil authorities.”
“The unit would also be deployed to deal with hostile crowds of
Americans in the aftermath of a massive economic depression, potential
food riots and race riots, if one defines the term ‘crowd control’ to
match its reasonably applicable scenarios,” notes Paul Joseph Watson.
In light of preparations under way and the countless warnings of
economic and social collapse by esteemed economists and political
analysts, it makes perfect sense that the Department of Homeland
Security, the Pentagon, and a wide array of government agencies are
currently stocking up on ammunition to ward off angry and hungry mobs
cheated out of their birthright and made homeless on the continent
conquered by their forefathers.
It is the job of the corporate media to create fallacious straw man
arguments and distract attention from the obvious economic collapse
right before our eyes. The real tip-off is that the establishment media
is now engaging in a concerted effort to portray journalists asking
questions about the unprecedented ammo purchases as conspiracy theorists
and “rightwing extremists” who should be dismissed sarcastically as
lunatics.
