The Hornet Nation will be in force as we travel to Stephenville this coming Friday as Gatesville is set to take on Graham in the State Quarter Finalist Round of the football playoffs in a 7:30 pm contest at Tarleton State University's Memorial Stadium.

Pre-sale tickets will be $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.They are available at Gatesville High School. Tickets at the gate will be $8.00. We will be visitors, Memorial Stadium in Stephenville will open at 6 pm, game starts at 7:30 ,district and senior passes will be accepted at the gate.

Player of the Week: Sebastian Corrales, Gatesville

GATESVILLE — His game-winning kick appeared to float through the uprights with ease. His win in the polls seemed almost as easy.


Less than a week after delivering a 35-yard field goal in overtime to help Gatesville complete a rally from a 13-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat Monahans 37-34 in the regional round of the Class 3A, Division II playoffs, Gatesville kicker Sebastian Corrales earned the KDHpressbox.com Player of the Week award by a landslide.

ABILENE — Gatesville didn’t have a lead until it mattered most.The Hornets fell into an early hole and trailed by 13 points entering the fourth quarter, and their undefeated season appeared to be coming to an end.


But a furious rally sent the game into overtime, where Sebastian Corrales’ game-winning field goal lifted Gatesville to 37-34 win over Monahans to advance to the Class 3A regional quarterfinals...
