Israel: Delaying the Inevitable

truce- noun \ˈtrüs\ -a suspension of fighting especially of considerable duration by agreement of opposing forces

The definition of truce according to Merriam-Webster is straightforward, however, the Obama Administration's version is obtuse at best. They pressured Benjamin Netanyahu to stop, sweetening the deal with guarantees of weapons and cash, but at what cost?

A reservist, as reported by Ynetnews, said that the violence "...will repeat itself and we'll find ourselves back here again and again. They should have let us complete the mission."

The vast majority of Israelis feel the inevitable has only been delayed. They are correct. Politicians by nature wheel-and-deal, but now its time to clean out the terrorists. Hamas and their affiliated groups hide behind women and children, stashing weapons in schools, hospitals and mosques. The terrorist' rockets continue to rain terror on Israeli civilians and several have fallen on residents of Gaza after the supposed "truce" started.

A cancer of hate exists in the Islamic world and is a diversionary tool used by some leaders in Islamic countries to mask the truth of their failings, hiding criminal activity against the very people they are sworn to protect and serve. Palestinian leaders, for example, focus energy on perpetuating hate in everything from academics to economics, instead of building up the very society they are responsible for uplifting. They claim they want an independent state, but have no foundation to build a viable country upon. Until Muslims recognize the right of Israel to exist they will continue in a quagmire of disillusionment, suffering economically while their leadership empty the treasuries for personal gain.

Israel remains a beacon of hope in the Middle East, if only Arabs would follow her example. Imagine the quality of life that could be shared by all, if Muslims opened their eyes and hearts to what is really occurring in their own countries. The people of Israel understand what is at stake, they live it everyday. However, Netanyahu has cast serious doubts about whether or not he truly understands, as He is perceived to have caved-in to the Obama Administration.

The diagnosis remains bleak. Improvement will not occur until the the infected areas are removed and the root cause is treated within the Muslim culture. Meanwhile, The continued absence of true leadership only delays the inevitable.
